Vice President for Marketing and Communications

Northeast College of Health Sciences, a private institution dedicated to training healthcare’s future leaders, invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for its vice president for marketing and communications. This is an on-site leadership role, with an anticipated start date in late 2026. The position is eligible for the college’s hybrid work program.

Located in Seneca Falls, New York, Northeast College of Health Sciences (Northeast College) educates deeply dedicated and skilled professionals who powerfully advocate for their patients and professions. Northeast College is committed to academic excellence, leadership, and professional best practices, and its student-customized curriculum ensures that graduates are fully prepared to build strong professional careers within the integrated, collaborative model that is the future of healthcare. The college currently enrolls approximately 600 students across a broad range of graduate-level integrative healthcare programs.

The Position
Reporting to President Michael Mestan and serving on the college’s senior leadership team, the vice president of marketing and communications (VPMC) is a full-time, senior leadership position responsible for the strategic direction of the college’s marketing, advertising, communications, and branding efforts in support of enrollment growth and institutional revenue goals. This role requires a proactive approach to enhancing Northeast College’s competitive position in a rapidly changing higher education landscape, strengthening the college’s visibility and reputation, and supporting enrollment and admissions functions.
The VPMC will partner actively with the vice president of enrollment management and student affairs to develop a shared recruitment marketing strategy, establish rigorous key performance indicators (KPIs) for lead generation and funnel quality, and foster a testing mindset that embraces data-driven insights and informed experimentation. The position requires the ability to think strategically about institutional competitive positioning, identify and propose new marketing channels and approaches, and integrate emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI). The VPMC will maintain disciplined brand stewardship across all channels and spaces, oversee the production of compelling institutional narratives, and ensure that the division operates with visibility and collaboration across campus.

The VPMC leads a team of six staff members and oversees a $1.575 million operating budget.

The approved salary range for the vice president of marketing and communications is $165,000-$175,000, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications
Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree; five years of progressive leadership experience in public relations, marketing, or a related field, including supervision and mentoring of staff; and excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication abilities.

The search committee is particularly interested in candidates with strong creative judgment, an entrepreneurial approach to innovation and market positioning, and the ability to support and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
