HPRA Scholarship Programs
Carrying out our mission to help nurture the next generation of Hispanics/Latinos in communications, the Hispanic Public Relations Association offers scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a career in public relations or communications.
Students can apply to national and local scholarships with one application. Applications are due June 19, 2023.
HPRA National Scholarship
HPRA National will award $10,000 in scholarships in 2023. In addition to a scholarship, winners receive:
- A free one-year student membership with access to all HPRA National webinars and events, giving them the opportunity to network and learn from PR professionals.
- Mentorship and shadowing opportunity with a board member
- Ticket to the ¡BRAVO! Awards, where HPRA National Scholarship winners are recognized each year.
Eligibility:
- Be an undergraduate or graduate student with at least one parent or grandparent of Hispanic/Latino heritage.
- Be enrolled at a two- or four-year accredited college or university for the 2023-24 academic year. Students can be enrolled full-time or part-time.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Open to students of all majors who demonstrate an interest in a career in public relations and communications.
HPRA-LA Scholarship
The Los Angeles chapter of the Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA-LA) is proud to present our annual Scholarship Program to help deserving Hispanic/Latinx students in the greater Los Angeles area achieve their educational goals.
The HPRA-LA Scholarship recognizes outstanding academic achievement and community service among Hispanic/Latinx undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing a career in public relations and related communications fields.
HPRA-LA will award scholarships up to $1,000.00
In addition to financial assistance, scholarship recipients will be introduced to executives at leading agencies and corporate organizations who are a part of the HPRA network, and receive a free, one-year student membership to HPRA-LA.
Eligibility:
- Be an undergraduate or graduate student with at least one parent or grandparent of Hispanic/Latino heritage.
- Be enrolled at a two- or four-year accredited college or university for the 2023-24 academic year. Students can be enrolled full-time or part-time.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Open to students of all majors who demonstrate an interest in a career in public relations and communications.
- You must be studying in the greater Los Angeles area.
